At JT Foundation, we believe every child deserves the chance to experience joy, adventure, and connection with nature-regardless of ability. That’s why we are excited to launch our Family Safari Day project, a special outing designed for families of children with cerebral palsy in Greater Manchester.
Many families caring for a child with cerebral palsy face barriers to accessing inclusive days out. Our Family Safari Day aims to break down those barriers by providing a supportive, accessible, and memorable experience at Knowsley Safari Park.
A fully funded day trip to Knowsley Safari Park for families with a child who has cerebral palsy.
Free entry for carers when accompanying a guest with disabilities (as per Knowsley Safari Park’s policy).
Accessible parking and facilities, ensuring comfort for all attendees.
Families in Greater Manchester with a child diagnosed with cerebral palsy.
Priority will be given to families who may not otherwise have the means or opportunity to enjoy such experiences.
If you are interested in joining our Family Safari Day, please [register/apply here or contact us at:info@jtfoundation.co.uk. Places are limited, so early application is encouraged.
This project is made possible through generous donations and community support. If you would like to help more families enjoy inclusive outings, please consider making a donation or partnering with us.
Together, we can create joyful, accessible experiences for children with cerebral palsy and their families
At Jt Foundation, we are passionate about creating opportunities for children with cerebral palsy in Greater Manchester. We believe that every child, regardless of mobility, should experience the joy and freedom of playing in their local park.
Manchester is home to 198 vibrant community parks, but not all are equipped to welcome children who use wheelchairs. That’s why our flagship campaign is focused on installing wheelchair accessible swings in every park across the city.
Wheelchair accessible swings are specially designed to allow children in wheelchairs to swing safely and comfortably. Features include:
Secure, stable platforms that accommodate wheelchairs
Easy ramp or transfer access for smooth entry and exit
Robust safety features
Play is essential for every child’s development—fostering confidence, friendships, and physical well-being. By installing wheelchair accessible swings, we ensure that children with cerebral palsy in wheelchairs can join in the fun, feel included, and enjoy the same opportunities as their peers.
We need your support to make this vision a reality. Whether you donate, or help us spread the word, you’ll be making a real difference for children and families across Manchester.
Join Jt Foundation in creating a more inclusive Manchester—one accessible swing at a time.
